Lake Guntersville State Park

My wife and I stayed in Chalet #403. It was nice...We had fun on the hiking trails. We rented a pontoon from Town Creek fishing center...which is owned and operated by the park. Had a blast on the lake! The breakfast was pricey on Friday...but a continental breakfast is available Mon-Wed. Saw some eagles...lots of deer and Canadian geese...some ducks...a couple snakes on the water ..and fish everywhere!

We planned a family reunion at Lake Guntersville State Park and were very happy with all the amenities available. The chalets are renovated and were super clean. The views of the lake from the chalets are outstanding as pictured. We reserved the Gathering Place for two dinners which accommodated 75 people. There is a playground next to the Gathering Place which was perfect for the many kids who came. We brought our own microphone and PA system which made it possible to hear individual speakers. We also reserved the beach pavilion during the day for changing clothes and shelter from the sun. Some of us played the Eagles Nest Golf course, which was really inexpensive and great for average golfers. The park staff were really helpful and friendly. We LOVED LGSP for a family reunion and recommend it to anyone. You will need to arrive with shopping done. Getting to town for anything takes 30 minutes or more each way.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our 2nd visit to this beautiful park. We stayed in the Chalets this time, and ours was in perfect condition! Our breakfast at Pinecrest was delicious, too. Thank you so much, and we're definitely coming back.
