It’s been 2-3 years since I last played Southern Gayles. Wow! This course has really changed for the better. The greens were immaculate. The fairways and tees were cut and in great condition. The staff was friendly. Especially the starter Dave. I would love to see a little better rate for seniors and a golf cart on the course with snacks and drinks. I will definitely be playing this course a lot.
Well manicured greens and fairways. Very forgiving for beginners but challenging enough for moderates. I wore golf shorts and shoes with a nice T-shirt but they prefer a collared shirt. Just a heads up. All in all I had a great time there.
This is a great beginner course. It has no bunkers, but there is water to keep it interesting. The staff is friendly. The grill is decent.
