Your below-average muni. Some pretty rough spots on the course. Every hole feels the same. Narrow fairways, small turtle back greens. Greens were pretty rough and bouncy. Course looks great from the road driving in…let me say looks can be deceiving. $14 for large bucket on the range…seems kinda ridiculous. Clubhouse…what clubhouse? No food, no cart girl. The cart staging area, where you check in, where you make the turn, and where you finish your round is at the same spot and is extremely smaller cramped and organized poorly. Will not play again if it was free. I think the green fee was like $42 for weekend at 11am.
Strictly for the price. Nice staff, nice pro shop. Way too much for concrete greens.
I love "the muni". I played there a bunch when I was just learning this game. Three stars because the most recent visit was disappointing to say the least. Un mowed and the greens were embarrassing. It's truly sad to see this course fall so far down from what it once was and the potential for what it could be again with proper maintenance. This was just a short visit for me. I'm sure I will be back to A town again and I always carry my sticks with me so I'll probably play "the muni" again. Hopefully they'll get it together and make the course playable once again!
