Claremont Colleges

My niece attended HMC from 2006 to 2010. The campus was lovely and very peaceful. The people were nice and friendly.

I love the Claremont Colleges campus system. My wife and I often target a weekend afternoon to just stroll and enjoy the whole area, from the residential streets to the quads. And our dog loves it, too. Also, with a range of wonderful food options right next door at Claremont Village, it's easy to set up a takeout picnic date night.

As an Alumnus of Pitzer College (one of the Claremont Colleges), I loved my experience as a student! The concept that the Claremont Colleges are populated by many students who were denied entry to the Ivy League schools is false, however. For example, I was accepted at Yale and Harvard, but I chose Pitzer instead. Many people that I knew not only at Pitzer but also at Pomona College chose Claremont rather than the Ivies.
