Santa Anita Golf Course

Well maintained fairways and greens. Putting was nice with the greens being fast but true with very few divot marks. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Only thing was I purchased a soft drink at the clubhouse and was told to get a refill on the back nine if I keep my cup. Went to the clubhouse after my front 9 and it was closed to my surprise. A patron outside mentioned that they close it early a lot and didn't know why. Very nice course

"If you haven't played here yet, it is highly recommended. The course is well-maintained overall. The greens roll fast enough, but the soil is very stiff, which means your shots won't sit where you want them to. It is a flat and wide course, but there are trees alongside the fairway on most holes. The round took a bit less than 5 hours. The pace is good on weekends."

this track is consistently the slowest i’ve ever played. through 4 separate rounds, my rounds average 6 hours or more. you might be wondering why, and it’s simple. it’s greed. i would be hard pressed to think of another golf course that have tee times in 7 minute intervals. come here if time isn’t precious to you and you have zero responsibilities.
