Outstanding 18, very, very well maintained course. Fairways are narrow and challenging but not overly punishing. Greens were as smooth as a carpet and putted true. The restaurant is a nice place to wind down with an adult beverage and a bite. Oh, friendly and helpful staff, too.
Golf moose customer* Well, I purchased this as a father's day gift. The voucher was very clear about only being valid after 1130am on weekdays, which is totally understandable for a private course to allow the members to play in the morning. I called today to book a tee time for Wednesday, July 9th, at 1130am. I had the pleasant experience of talking with Ken at the pro shop. After 10-15 seconds of crosstalk when he answered the phone, he immediately talked down to me and said he was really busy today. I explained that I had a golf moose and was hoping to schedule a tee time. Ken laughed and asked when I wanted to come in, which I replied with the above date and time. Ken again laughed (maybe I should re-visit wanting to be a standup comedian), and replied that you can only call within a week of when you want to play. I told him thank you and I would call back in a week, to which he didn't quite get enough belittling out of his system, and replied "good luck getting a tee time before 1pm when you do call back". I said oh, I thought it was for after 1130. This must've been another one of my 1-liners, cuz he laughed even harder saying that their members get first choice of tee times and I wouldn't be going out until at least late afternoon. I told him I didn't understand since they weren't booking that far out yet how he knew this, to which he mentioned the private nature of the course, again. I told him I understood it was a private country club, but this was a "member for a day" voucher that his course agreed to with Golf Moose, most likely to entice business and gain new members. He said they were already busy enough and to call back next week. Let's just say I won't be calling back. Ken was legitimately one of the worst customer service experiences of my life, what an absolute jerk!!! Had the instruction on the Golf Moose had the time slot being late afternoon only, I never would have purchased it.
We were here for live music tonight. The bartenders were SLAMMED and did a fantastic job keeping up with the crowd. Food was great too!
