What people say about (Blackheath Golf Club)

Very nice course but the course marshal needs to be out just a bit more. It took us 3 hours to play 9 holes even though we paid for 18. All held up by a group of 2. I will go back but it'll have to be in the middle of the day to make it worth it

Nice track if you like a links style course! Played on a very windy day so with no trees to block some of the wind it made it more challenging than normal. Feel they over booked tee times a bit so play was a bit slow. Clubhouse was below par and they had no alcohol on premise due to losing their license. Just ok overall.

Friday May 30, 2025 3:14pm Tee time Easy check in at the Pro Shop. Met the starter for check in and paired me with another single with an earlier tee time so off we went in separate carts. Picked Cart 21 the slowest cart they had. Felt like it was stuck in 1st gear. Wide open course (perfect for my game). Lots of bunkers and very hilly. Course itself played fast. Very short grass on the fairways and fast greens. Pretty tricky greens too. Could use some better signage. Traded in my slow cart for an even slower Cart 55 at the turn. Oh well just had to live with it. Other guy I played with (a regular there) said it happens a lot. Read other reviews mentioning old slow dying carts so seems to be an ongoing issue for them. Pace of play was decent considering it was just a 2some. Staked up with slower 3/4somes on the course. Saw a starter but no rangers to keep pace of play steady. Cart boys (teenagers) to clean out the carts on the edge of the parking lot so remember to tip them. I try and play new to me courses every week to 10 days (I prefer cheaper green fees too - this was only $40 for 18 with a cart as they only have a Twilight rate so play what you can not just 9 or 18) and this is one I will definitely be back to play. As with a lot of courses these days they stack up mostly due to slow play. Be patient going in and you will enjoy it a lot more. If you are noticing people waiting behind you SPEED UP or let them play through.
