These guys saved our golf trip! After booking three rounds at a course nearby with a representative from that course, it was closed on the days of our trip without any notice, despite the weather being nice, the email confirmations we received, and the signs on the pro shop saying they were open every day in April. We called Crandall asking if they could accommodate 9 of us on half hours notice, and they delivered! Not only was the course in better shape than we expected, but the course staff and patrons were all incredibly friendly! They even invited all 9 of us 20 something out of towners to join a party they were hosting for the Ogallala community after our rounds! This wasn’t on our radar when we planned to head out to western Nebraska for a golf trip but it will definitely be a regular stop on future trips to the area just because of how amazing the people are. I can’t recommend and thank this place enough!
I went out with a group to play some courses in western NE, and had planned to play another course that day. Some things fell through and we found ourselves at Crandall Creek and it might have been the best thing to happen to us on the trip. The people at Crandall Creek are absolutely incredible; I've never felt that welcome at a golf course in my life. They were accommodating and just overall appreciative of our business. The course was in good condition, especially with how early in the season we played. I absolutely plan to come back and play here again!
We had to scramble to put together tee times for 9 people — and they went beyond expectations for accommodation. Unbelievably nice and let us play through some cold golf. Even invited us for a free meal with the members after the round! The course itself was also great. Lot of unique challenges. The owner has a great passion for golf (being a former superintendent at one of the best courses in the U.S.) and you can tell he has plans to make the course bigger and better. We can’t wait to do another golf trip just to play this course again. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
