IMO, Short of Alabama and Ohio, Tennessee has the best maintained state courses. HH is always in a great state of repair, and the grounds crew is great. Very large practice green and a 275ish driving range. HH appears very open with wide fairways but has many technically demanding 2nd shots that can detail a round quickly, especially on the back.
The condition was perfect that day. Make sure you bring your own clubs. Although these unknown clubs were in decent condition, the feel was awful. Other noticeable fact: Grass might be too long in some location. We lost balls on the fairway. The drain of the bunkers was not good at all. You can try to find my ball in the 3rd picture
Pretty good golf course for a state park. Greens were awesome, Better than Some very exclusive courses that are played. I'll be back!
