What people say about (The Golf Club at Texas A&M)

ROMAN MARTINEZ

Great place for weekend golf. Course is wide open so you don’t lose a lot of balls. Wide fairways that are well kept along with smooth rolling greens that are taken care of.

The front desk staff are not the friendliest or most helpful. Was in town for a conference and got an afternoon tee time and unfortunately this is the first experience the customer gets of the course. There was no direction on where anything was. I paid through a 3rd party app and was expecting a receipt and where the first hole was. Unfortunately I was just told ok I got you and she moved onto the next person. This course is pretty wide open with minimal trees so balls are flying all over from other holes. Hole 10 runs along the driving range, so good luck. I would not play this course again.

Apparently Aggies do lie and steal. My group was turned away as each golfer supposedly “needs” their own set of clubs to play. They showed us this was written in “fine print”, and after pointing out multiple other rules they themselves were violating. We were rudely responded to. After renting a set of clubs, I was lied to being told I could play with the set after 8 pm. Then only after 4 holes were played, a worker informed me that I needed my clubs to be turned in before 8 or they would hold onto my ID and charge me for the ENTIRE set of clubs. The worker then blew us off and drove when we asked questions, confused as to the two different stories we were told. A true shame seeing my own university breaking their own core values they enforce. Never come here, the will lie and steal from you.
